Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has released its admission cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 academic session, with Nursing Science and Law recording the highest benchmarks among the university’s undergraduate programmes.
In the cut-off marks released on Wednesday, Nursing Science has a minimum benchmark of 77.4 for candidates under the general merit category, while catchment candidates are required to score at least 74.4.
Law follows with a cut-off mark of 77.1 for general merit candidates and 73 for those under the catchment category.
Other programmes with relatively high benchmarks include Radiography and Radiation Science, 74.5; Medical Laboratory Science, 73.8; Common and Islamic Law, 71.3; Accounting, 69; and Mass Communication, 68.7.
In the engineering and technology category, Mechatronics Engineering has a cut-off mark of 66.8, Software Engineering 66.1, Computer Science 65.6, Civil Engineering 64, and Mechanical Engineering 63.8.
At the lower end of the published benchmarks, Mathematics Education has a minimum score of 43, while Christian Religious Studies and Wildlife Management require 47.1 and 49.8 respectively under the general merit category.
For catchment candidates, the cut-off mark for each of the three programmes is 40.
The university said the published benchmarks cover 107 undergraduate programmes, with separate requirements provided for general merit and catchment candidates.
UNIOSUN, however, stressed that meeting the stipulated cut-off mark does not automatically guarantee admission, as candidates must fulfil other academic and regulatory requirements.
The institution also warned prospective students against fraudsters who claim to have the ability to secure admission slots or manipulate the admission process.
The university’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, urged candidates to rely exclusively on information from UNIOSUN’s official communication channels, including its website and verified social media platforms.
Adesoji cautioned that the university would not be responsible for financial losses or other consequences arising from candidates’ reliance on unauthorised sources, particularly admission-related messages circulated through WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms.
The university advised applicants to disregard admission claims that cannot be verified through its official channels and wished all prospective students success in the admission exercise.
