UNILAG Graduate Credits Faith-Driven Challenge for First-Class Triumph

A fresh graduate of University of Lagos has shared an inspiring testimony of how she turned a struggling academic outlook into a first-class degree, attributing part of her success to a faith-motivated practice she engaged in during a popular spiritual event.

Ahona Victory Eniola, who completed her Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science with a distinguished 4.51 CGPA, recounted how she once doubted her chances of graduating with top honours when her cumulative score hovered around 4.4.

In a social media post circulating online, Eniola said she took part in the “Hallelujah Challenge” — a midnight praise and worship movement started by gospel artist and pastor Nathaniel Bassey — where participants are encouraged to “dress like your miracle” as an expression of faith.

During the exercise, she said she dressed as a distinction-level student by faith and even crafted a mock certificate of distinction as a spiritual and motivational symbol of her academic goal. She then prayed and devoted herself to consistent study habits, ultimately achieving the first-class result she hoped for.

Eniola shared images of her academic certificate alongside photos from the Challenge on her X account, highlighting how she transformed her academic trajectory through determination, religious conviction and rigorous study.

Her story has since garnered congratulatory responses from social media users, with many celebrating her accomplishment and expressing encouragement to other students pursuing academic excellence.
