Tehran, Iran – Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply on Monday after Iran issued a stern warning to the United States, threatening to target American military bases in the region in response to what it described as "aggressive and unlawful" strikes on its nuclear facilities.
Speaking during a nationally televised address, Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), declared that any further attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure would be met with a “decisive and overwhelming” response.
"The era of silent suffering is over. If our peaceful nuclear program is targeted again, American bases in the region will not be safe. We will not hesitate to respond, and our response will be proportionate and immediate,"
