Asaba, Nigeria – February 4, 2026 – Senator Ned Nwoko, representing the Delta North Senatorial District, has unveiled a free JAMB UTME registration programme aimed at supporting 1,500 prospective university candidates from his constituency ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement posted on his official social media account, the lawmaker emphasised that the initiative grew out of his conviction that “education is the foundation upon which lasting development is built” and that financial barriers should not block qualified youths from accessing higher education.

The scheme is open to eligible students across the nine local government areas of Delta North — Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South and Ukwuani — underscoring the senator’s commitment to broad-based educational support.

Under the programme, applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, and are required to generate a valid JAMB profile code using their National Identification Number (NIN). Candidates must also submit their full name, JAMB profile code, and council ward in order to qualify.

Interested students have until Sunday, February 15, 2026, to complete their registration through the designated online portal provided by the senator’s office.

Senator Nwoko reaffirmed that the drive is part of his broader agenda to enhance human capital development, foster youth empowerment and expand access to tertiary education across the district.

The announcement coincides with the national launch of the 2026 JAMB UTME registration exercise, which runs from January 26 to February 28, 2026, with e-PIN vending having started earlier on January 19 and scheduled to wrap up by February 26.

Alongside UTME registration, JAMB has outlined categories and fees for e-PINs this year, including options with and without mock exams, as well as those for direct entry candidates whose application period extends into March and April.
