OAU Unveils Upgraded Digital Portal to Streamline Student Registration and Payments

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has launched a new digital portal aimed at enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative processes across the institution.

The newly introduced platform, accessible via a revamped web address, is designed to deliver faster, more reliable, and user-friendly services for both students and staff. According to the university, the portal consolidates multiple functions into a single system, enabling users to seamlessly carry out course registration, school fee payments, access academic records, and manage other essential academic activities.

The development forms part of OAU’s broader digital transformation strategy, targeted at modernising its ICT infrastructure and resolving persistent challenges associated with the previous portal. Students had earlier reported issues such as slow response times, limited accessibility, and system failures, particularly during peak academic periods.

University authorities noted that the new system has been engineered to handle higher user traffic while offering improved navigation and overall functionality. The upgrade is expected to significantly reduce delays and frustrations commonly experienced during registration and payment processes.

Students and staff have been advised to transition promptly to the new platform and familiarise themselves with its features to avoid disruptions in their academic activities. To support this migration, the institution’s ICT unit has also put measures in place to assist users who may encounter technical difficulties.
