The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of a supplementary online registration exercise for prospective corps members whose details were recently uploaded to its mobilisation portal.
According to the scheme, the registration window will run from Thursday, April 9 to Saturday, April 11, 2026, providing another opportunity for eligible graduates who were unable to complete the earlier registration process.
In a notice issued by the NYSC management, the supplementary exercise is specifically targeted at prospective corps members whose records have just been uploaded to the NYSC portal or those who missed the initial registration period.
The agency advised affected candidates to log in to the official NYSC registration platform within the stipulated timeframe to complete the necessary procedures, including profile completion and biometric capture.
NYSC further urged prospective corps members to prepare essential documents such as valid identification and clear passport photographs ahead of the registration exercise to ensure a smooth and seamless process.
The scheme emphasised that the registration process will be conducted strictly online, warning that failure to complete the process within the given period may lead to delays in mobilisation for the upcoming orientation programme.
The supplementary registration is part of NYSC’s ongoing efforts to streamline the mobilisation process and accommodate the increasing number of Nigerian graduates participating in the national service programme.
Established in 1973, the NYSC scheme requires Nigerian graduates below the age of 30 to participate in a one-year national service aimed at promoting national unity and development through deployment to different states across the country.
