The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa, has urged Educational Zonal Coordinators to strengthen their commitment to quality service delivery as schools prepare to resume for the 2025/2026 First Term Academic Session.
Speaking during a strategic meeting with 12 zonal coordinators on Friday at the Ministry’s Conference Hall, Musawa emphasized the need for efficiency, dedication, and accountability to ensure that teaching and learning across the state align with established standards.
She commended the coordinators for their dedication, describing their contributions as critical to building an enlightened and progressive society.
The meeting, which was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Ummulkhairi Ahmed Bawa, as well as directors of junior and senior secondary schools, the acting director of examinations, and other senior officials, also reviewed ongoing reforms to enhance education outcomes.
The Ministry reaffirmed its readiness to guarantee a smooth resumption of the new academic session while consolidating reforms in the state’s education sector.
