The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise, concluding the final phase of this year’s admission assessment process.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that candidates who participated in the exercise can now access their results through approved result-checking platforms.
According to him, the release of the results marks the beginning of the ranking process for candidates ahead of admission considerations into tertiary institutions across the country.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates,” he said.
He added that the printing of official result documents for admission purposes is expected to begin before the end of the week.
Benjamin also commended candidates and other stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the examination process.
The mop-up examination was conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as a final opportunity for candidates who were originally scheduled for the main UTME but were unable to sit for the examination due to biometric verification challenges, technical glitches, or other disruptions at designated centres.
The main 2026 UTME was held between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
