The Lagos State University (LASU) has successfully conducted the entrance examination for applicants into its 2024/2025 HND/BSc Conversion (Top-Up) Degree Programme, marking a key stage in the institution’s admission process for part-time students.
The examination, held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, took place at the 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Education, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, and attracted candidates from across the country seeking to upgrade their Higher National Diploma (HND) to a Bachelor’s degree.
Speaking on the exercise, the Director of the School of Part-Time Studies (SPTS), Professor Oluwatobi Pemede, said the conversion programme was designed to close the academic gap between HND and university degree holders.
“The HND/BSc Conversion Programme offers equal academic opportunities for professionals and graduates who desire to strengthen their qualifications and improve their career prospects,” Pemede stated.
He explained that the entrance examination is structured to guarantee transparency and merit-based selection while preserving LASU’s academic standards.
Also commenting, the Assistant Director of SPTS, Dr Oluwaseun Babalola, expressed satisfaction with the orderly conduct of candidates, noting that the exercise reflects LASU’s commitment to providing flexible and credible academic pathways for HND holders aspiring to earn Bachelor’s degrees.
The HND/BSc Conversion Programme remains one of LASU’s flagship part-time initiatives and continues to attract large numbers of applicants nationwide. Successful candidates, the university said, will be required to promptly pay the prescribed acceptance and medical fees to secure their provisional admission.
Applicants have also been advised to regularly check the official LASU website for updates on admission lists and further instructions as the university sustains efforts to expand access to quality higher education and professional advancement.
