Keystone Bank Limited has handed over a fully renovated and furnished classroom block to the Akwa Ibom State Government at Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Uyo, in a bid to strengthen educational infrastructure under its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The commissioning, held on Tuesday, was attended by government officials, executives of Keystone Bank, community leaders, teachers, and students.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Eucharia Ken-Agbiriogu, Directorate Head (South), Keystone Bank, said the intervention reflects the bank’s vision of education as a driver of national progress.
> “At Keystone Bank, we believe that investing in education is one of the most powerful ways to contribute to the growth of our nation. This renovated school block shows what can be achieved when the private and public sectors unite behind a shared vision,” she said.
She added that the project aligns with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda, which places education and youth empowerment at the forefront of state priorities.
Commending the gesture, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ekaette Ebong Okon, said partnerships like this strengthen the state’s mission to improve school infrastructure and raise learning standards.
The school principal, Pastor Ime Ekpo, described the renovation as a lifesaving intervention, recalling that the block was among the most dilapidated on campus.
> “When I resumed here, the classrooms were in terrible condition. Today, thanks to Keystone Bank’s benevolence, the story is different. We are deeply grateful and encourage other institutions to follow this example,” he noted.
The project was executed under the **Keystone Bank Education Support Initiative**, designed to advance corporate social responsibility while fostering sustainable educational development across Nigeria.
