The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, April 20, 2026.
The board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday, directing candidates to access their results through the approved channels.
According to the statement, candidates can check their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during their registration for the examination.
“The results for Monday, 20th have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement said.
The latest release continues JAMB’s ongoing pattern of publishing UTME results in batches, following the conclusion of each examination day.
The 2026 UTME, which began on Thursday, April 16, has seen results progressively released for different exam dates, starting with the first day candidates and followed by subsequent batches for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions.
JAMB explained that the batch-by-batch release system is designed to ensure accuracy, smooth processing, and timely verification of results for over two million candidates participating in the nationwide examination.
The board has also consistently advised candidates to rely only on official communication channels to check their results and avoid misinformation from unofficial sources.
With Monday’s results now released, attention shifts to remaining batches as the examination exercise progresses across accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
