JAMB Directs 2026 UTME Candidates to Print Examination Slips Ahead of Exams

Board dismisses fake postponement notice, urges candidates to confirm exam date, venue and time online.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination slips ahead of the upcoming nationwide test.

In an announcement released on Thursday, the examination body informed candidates that the slip reprinting portal is now active, allowing applicants to access key details about their scheduled examination sessions.

According to JAMB, the examination slip contains critical information including the candidate’s examination venue, date, and time, which are required for entry into the Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre. Candidates are therefore expected to print the slip and keep it safe as it serves as their official pass into the examination hall.

To retrieve the slip, candidates are advised to visit the official JAMB website and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” option before entering their registration details to download and print the document.

The directive comes as the board moved to dispel a viral statement circulating online which falsely claimed that the 2026 UTME had been postponed. JAMB described the notice as misleading and malicious, stressing that the examination schedule remains unchanged.

The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place between April 16 and April 25, during which candidates across Nigeria will sit for the computer-based examination required for admission into tertiary institutions.

JAMB urged candidates to print their slips early in order to confirm their centres and avoid last-minute difficulties that could disrupt their participation in the examination.
