According to reports, the victim, identified as a final-year student of the institution, was attacked by suspected robbers along a major road near the school campus. Eyewitnesses say the student was on his way home when the assailants intercepted him, demanding his valuables before shooting him at close range.

The attack reportedly took place late in the evening, raising fresh concerns over the state of security in the area, especially around student-dense communities.

Security agencies have since confirmed the incident. The Niger State Police Command said an investigation is underway, and efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the perpetrators.
