The management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, has appealed to its alumni, students and host community for support as the institution grapples with declining student enrolment, a development it says is beginning to affect operations across key areas of the college.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit, the management acknowledged that the drop in enrolment has created challenges impacting staffing, facilities, academic planning and general campus activities.
Despite the setback, the college reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and leadership development, stressing that unity among stakeholders remains critical to overcoming the current difficulties.
According to the statement, the institution is urging its alumni to assist ongoing efforts to boost enrolment by sharing positive experiences, promoting the college to prospective candidates and engaging in advocacy that showcases the school’s academic strengths and community relevance.
Management also called on members of the host community to serve as ambassadors of the institution by engaging constructively through official feedback channels, supporting outreach efforts and participating actively in campus programmes, which it described as vital to sustaining a vibrant academic environment.
While acknowledging the challenges confronting the college, the administration assured stakeholders of its commitment to transparency, reform and institutional growth, noting that measures are already being taken to stabilise and strengthen operations.
