The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Dr. Paul Enenche, has announced a major shift in the church’s worship experience—live broadcasts of services will be discontinued with immediate effect.
The announcement was made during the Sunday service, where Pastor Enenche addressed the congregation, emphasizing the spiritual importance of gathering physically for worship. Citing Hebrews 10:25, which urges believers not to forsake the assembly of one another, the respected cleric underscored the dangers of substituting physical fellowship with virtual convenience.
“Those of you who are used to watching from home, today may be the last day you do that,” Pastor Enenche declared. “We are stopping all live broadcasts except for those overseas who may not have access to a physical church.”
He explained that while technology has made it easier for many to connect to church services remotely, it should not replace the essence of communal worship. “The assembly is very important,” he said, adding that relying on satellite or internet streams instead of attending services in person should now be discouraged.
Pastor Enenche’s decision has sparked conversation among members and the wider Christian community, with many expressing mixed feelings on social media. Some have applauded the move, calling it a bold call to revive commitment and unity among believers, while others have voiced concerns over accessibility for the elderly, infirm, or those with logistical challenges.
