NYSC deploys 1,600 prospective Corps members to Bauchi

The Bauchi State NYSC Coordinator, Rifkatu Yakubu, provided further details about the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Orientation exercise during an interactive session with newsmen. According to her, the registration for the prospective Corps members will take place from November 27 to November 29, 2024, at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, located in the Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

The swearing-in ceremony for the Corps members is scheduled for November 29, and the orientation exercise will run until December 17, 2024.

Yakubu emphasized that only genuine graduates would be allowed into the camp after thorough screening to ensure that no impersonation occurs. The NYSC has also implemented security measures, including discreet screening of the Corps members to maintain camp security.

The Coordinator urged the Corps members to adhere strictly to camp rules and regulations, warning that defaulters would face sanctions as per the scheme’s extant rules. Additionally, she advised against late-night journeys for safety reasons and reminded the Corps members of the importance of being punctual, diligent, and complying with the acceptable dress codes during the orientation exercise. Any violations of these directives will also be sanctioned.
