The National Examinations Council (NECO) has confirmed that the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External results will be officially released today, Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
According to an internal circular signed by NECO’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, the results will be unveiled by the Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, at 10:45 a.m. during a formal presentation at the Council’s headquarters.
The SSCE External examination is primarily taken by private candidates — those who sit outside the regular school system or who wish to improve their grades. The results are crucial for candidates seeking tertiary education admission, employment opportunities or professional advancement.
NECO typically conducts the External SSCE annually to broaden access to national certification and ensure that learners outside traditional classrooms are not left behind. Results announcements also reinforce the examination body’s commitment to timely dissemination of results and efficient examination management.
Candidates are urged to access their results through approved channels as details on how to check scores are expected to be released shortly after the formal unveiling.
