The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released key dates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the sale of registration forms will commence on January 31, 2025, and close on March 5, 2025.
For Direct Entry applicants, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will run from March 10, 2025, to April 7, 2025.
The Mock-UTME is set for April 5, 2025, while the main UTME will take place from April 25, 2025, to May 5, 2025.
Candidates opting for UTME with the mock exam will pay ₦8,200, while those registering for UTME only (without the mock) will pay ₦7,200.
Prof. Oloyede also mentioned that a special mock UTME has been introduced for candidates under the age of 16.
This initiative is not meant for admission purposes but serves as a preparatory test for younger candidates to assess their readiness for future exams.
He reiterated that candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, to be eligible for admission into universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education.
However, exceptionally gifted candidates under 15 may be considered if they achieve a minimum UTME score of 280 and perform outstandingly in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME exams.
