The Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has assured newly admitted students into its 2025/2026 Part-Time Programme that graduates will continue to receive their certificates on the day of graduation, in line with the institution’s long-standing tradition.

The assurance was given by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatola Ayodele, while addressing fresh students at the university’s Ifaki-Ekiti campus. He was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Olufemi Oke.

Professor Ayodele stressed that academic standards for part-time students are the same as those for regular students, noting that EKSU does not compromise quality in any of its programmes.

“EKSU is a student-centred university and has become a household name globally because of its commitment to academic excellence,” he said.

He explained that the matriculation ceremony formally marks the beginning of the students’ full membership of the university community and urged them to uphold the values of discipline, hard work and integrity.

According to him, EKSU has remained consistent in fulfilling the vision of its founding fathers by contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s and Ekiti State’s human resource development.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new intakes and encouraged them to maximise the academic and personal development opportunities available within the institution.

Also speaking, the Director of the Programme, Professor Kayode Arogundade, congratulated the matriculants, stating that the Directorate is committed to providing flexible but high-quality academic training without lowering standards.

He added that admission into the 2026/2027 academic session has commenced, with advertisements already placed in national newspapers.

The matriculation oath was administered by the Registrar, Mr. Ife Oluwole, following the formal presentation of candidates by the Deans of the various faculties.

The ceremony was attended by principal officers of the university and other top management staff, as EKSU reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and efficient service delivery to students.
