UNILAG Announces Schedule for Mandatory Toxicology Screening for 2025/2026 Admitted Students

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released the schedule for its compulsory toxicology screening exercise for all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a statement signed by Ndidi J. Odinikaeze on Monday, November 11, 2025, the exercise will hold from Wednesday, November 12 to Friday, November 21, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily at the Jelili Adebisi Omotola (Multipurpose) Hall, UNILAG.

The university congratulated all newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates and officially welcomed them to the UNILAG academic community. It also emphasized that the toxicology screening is a mandatory prerequisite for registration and clearance.

“The toxicology screening result is mandatory for screening and registration exercises which are scheduled to commence soon,” the statement read.

Students are required to present the following during the screening:

  1. UTME/Direct Entry candidate’s Biodata Page, and

  2. Printout of evidence of payment for the toxicology screening.

For payment and registration, candidates must visit the official student portal at https://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng, log in using their JAMB application number as username and surname (in lowercase) as password, then follow the prompts to make payment and print their receipt for presentation at the venue.

UNILAG reiterated that no student will be allowed to proceed with main registration without the toxicology clearance, adding that the exercise aligns with the university’s long-standing policy to promote student health, discipline, and overall well-being.

Faculty Screening Schedule

  • Wednesday, November 12: Architecture, Arts, Communication and Media Studies, Computing and Informatics, and Creative Arts.

  • Thursday, November 13: Life Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dental Sciences, and Social Sciences.

  • Friday, November 14: Engineering, Health Professions, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physical & Earth Sciences.

  • Monday, November 17: Education, Environmental Sciences, and Law.

A repeat session for absentees will hold from Tuesday, November 18 to Friday, November 21, 2025, following the same sequence to ensure all newly admitted students are covered.

The management urged all candidates to adhere strictly to their scheduled days and come prepared with the required documents to avoid delays. For inquiries, students are advised to contact the Admissions Office via admissions@unilag.edu.ng.

The toxicology screening remains an integral part of UNILAG’s commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and responsible academic environment for all students.
