The Osun State Government has kicked off the first cohort of its free digital skills training programme, a flagship initiative under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s 5-Point Development Agenda aimed at youth empowerment and digital innovation.
The programme, delivered through a partnership between the Office of the Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals and Multilateral Relations and **Skill Afrika**, a leading digital training organisation, officially commenced this week at the SDG Centre in Dagbolu.
Participants in the maiden batch are currently undergoing intensive training in **Front-End Web Development** and **UI/UX Product Design**, courses specifically designed to equip young Osun residents with globally competitive digital skills. The long-term goal, according to the organisers, is to foster innovation, self-reliance, and sustainable development across the state.
Special Adviser to the Governor on SDGs and Multilateral Relations, **Mr. Bamikole Omishore**, described the initiative as a “transformative step” toward positioning Osun youths for relevance in the global digital economy.
